GIDC degree Engineering College has registered in the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan program initiated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India

About the Program :

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. It also aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.

The main Aim of the Program :

GIDC Degree Engineering aims to identify the development challenges and needs of a village and find appropriate solutions with Professional Resource Support from institute to meet these needs.

Goals :

- Improving Education standards of adult and childrens.
-Encourage the literacy of the adult women villagers.
-Economical development of the villagers
-Promote cultural development
-Encourage digital literacy training for all villagers
-Improvement and Awareness for community health and sanitation
-Training and awareness about self employment and entrepreneurship development.

Adopted Villages :

We have already begun the process of adopting five villages around our Institute. The names of the villages are –
(a) Abrama – Abrama Gram Panchayat
(b) Mandir – Mandir Gram Panchayat
(c) Vedchha – Vedchha Gram Panchayat
(d) Kharsad – Kharsad Gram Panchayat
(e) Sarav – Sarav Gram Panchayat
