GIDC Degree Engineering College (GDEC) at village Abrama, Taluka: Jalalpore, District: Navsari, a joint venture of Govt. of Gujarat and GIDC was established in 2012. The institute is managed by GIDC Education Society, Gandhinagar with sole aim of providing quality education to the students of rural and tribal areas near by Navsari District in the field of Engineering and Technology.

The institute is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode institution approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad and offering five undergraduate degree programs in Automobile, Civil, Computer, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
