Alumni Cell

GDEC Alumni Cell nurtures a mutually beneficial relationship with the Alumni and leverages their expertise and experience for the growth of the institution. The institute fosters a strong bond with its Alumni by the support from management and the continuous involvement of the institute head and the faculty of GDEC. The Alumni Cell works to connect alumni, support students and build an unforgettable Institute experience through a diversity of events, programming and services. Alumni-meets act as a platform for rejuvenating old bonds and provide an opportunity to current students to learn and gain from alumni's experience. Alumni are supporting current students through expert talk, career counselling, competitive examinations preparation, soft skill development and current industrial requirements. Alumni Cell plays a vital role by providing better opportunities to its members to grow in their professional life.

Functions

• Responsible for the registration of all the outgoing students as alumni members and maintenance of the database.
• To collect and compile information of the distinguished alumni, viz., their achievements, progress and successful careers.
• To maintain continuous interaction with the alumni and plans for utilizing their services for the benefit of existing students and the institute.
• To honour distinguished Alumni for supporting in brand building exercise as well as overall development of the institution
• To establish the network of the alumni and existing students through seminars, expert sessions, workshops etc.
• To circulate the details of alumni to the existing students for their benefit.
• To invite the Alumni in a good professional position for expert lecturers under discussions with the department head.
• To establish endowments and scholarships.
